What is a skin test (patch test)?
A skin test (patch test) is a simple method to check if your skin, especially if it is sensitive or prone to allergies, tolerates a new cosmetic product.
Choose a small, discreet, and sensitive area of skin, such as the inside of your wrist or the crease of your elbow. Apply a small amount of product in a thin layer, leave it on without rinsing, and then monitor the area for the next 24 to 48 hours.
Observe the reaction: if no redness, itching, burning sensation, rash, or other signs of irritation appear during this period, your skin likely tolerates the product well. If you notice any irritation, rinse the area immediately with clean water.
