The crystal-clear lagoons of French Polynesia are among the most pristine ecosystems in the world.
At the heart of these pure waters lies our aquaculture farm, composed of a hatchery and a nursery.
Specifically, we raise juveniles of Holothuria Fuscogilva and Holothuria Whitmaei, commercially valuable species listed as “endangered” by the IUCN.
Moreover, we prioritize a complete ban on antibiotics or chemical treatments that could negatively impact the environment and consumer health.
Following a few months in basins, we place the animals in lagoon enclosures across several Polynesian islands for their natural growth.
Sea cucumbers feed on the sediments present on the seabed. They thus contribute to the balance of the ecosystem in which they evolve, while providing calcium, phosphorus, and nitrogen salts necessary for the growth of algae and corals.
After a few years, trained local fishermen hand-harvest the specimens. To ensure transparency, we precisely record the location and date of each harvest, thus guaranteeing complete traceability, from the sea to the finished product.
In addition, our processing methods, inspired by traditional techniques, are scientifically optimized to preserve the nutritional quality of our raw materials.
Drawing inspiration from the history of our founder, our multidisciplinary team of scientists aims to rigorously prove the virtues of the active molecules within sea cucumber, traditionally recognized by Chinese pharmacopeia.
Our goal is to develop effective products with claims that are scientifically proven. To achieve this, their research includes, among other things, complete chemical characterization of the actives, aiming to identify and quantify the active compounds. Furthermore, they conduct in vitro enzymatic tests to evaluate the biological efficacy of these molecules on specific cellular processes, along with proteomic analyses to understand the mechanisms of action of the substances when in contact with the skin.
Ultimately, these combined scientific approaches aim to exhaustively demonstrate the beneficial effects of our actives on both health and beauty.
